Make Your Own Diwali Lamps

If you are celebrating Diwali, it is always likely to purchase lamps in Diwali gifts shopping. Though, getting into a festive spirit may also involve creating your own Diwali lamps, the fun exercise which lets you decorate it with your hearts gratified.
Roll a clay into the ball almost the size of your handful or a bit smaller, depending on how big you want that lamp to be.
Using the thumb, press a dent into the mid of that ball. This would make it hollow.
Shape that hollow with fingers for creating a bowl with the evenly sized limits all its way around. Check that a tea light candle can easily fit into a hole; if not, then keep shaping.
Create the rim edge.
For the round lamp, leave that shape as it already is but increases the rim edge along with more clay in the circle around the top.
For one star shaped lamp, tweak the sides of the bowl’s top with the forefinger & thumb. This would indent the top, making a star shape. 6 indents will create the six-sided star, 5 indents will make a five-sided star.
Make holes in one of the sides of your clay bowl. These will allow the light to gleam through. Decide where you would place the holes consistently around the bowl, marking all the spots with the small nick in your clay to check for consistency all around the bowl.
